  • GATHERING FOR WOMEN OF FAITH

     Day of Prayer in the New Year – A Contemplative Practice of Visio Divina

    Saturday, January 17, 2015, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm, St. Anne’s Convent, 720 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough, MA.   You may be asking, Visio Divina? What’s that? Come find out! During this New Year ’s Day of prayer we will be invited into a contemplative experience of prayer with art. Join with Women of Faith from throughout the diocese and beyond as together we welcome in 2015 through fellowship and contemplative prayer, and all that God is waiting to offer us this day and in the New Year. There will be reflections, faith sharing, fellowship, and time for personal and group prayer.

    The presenters will be Sr. Pauline Laurence, SSA, and Sr. Yvette Dargy, SSA, who bring invaluable experience as educators, leaders, pastoral counselors and ministers.

    “Coffee and” will be provided. Registration fee is $5.

  • GATHERING FOR WOMEN OF FAITH

    Easing into Balance: Practices for Everyday Contemplation

    Saturday, September 6, 2014, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm, St. Anne’s Convent, 720 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough, MA   This half day retreat with the theme, Easing into Balance: Practices for Everyday Contemplation, is a way of gently entering into the Fall season with God and other women, taking time for the contemplative practices of slowing down and surrender.  There will be time for quiet, personal prayer, faith sharing, and fellowship. You are invited to recall the bookmark prayer of St. Teresa of Avila:

    “Let nothing disturb you; Let nothing frighten you. All things are passing. God never changes. Patience obtains all things. Nothing is wanting to her who possesses God. God alone suffices.”

    The presenter will be Nicki Verploegen, Ph.D, a spiritual director and consultant who offers graduate courses, seminars, retreats, and workshops in spirituality both in the U.S. and abroad in Africa and Asia.  “Coffee and” will be offered.  Registration fee is $5.

    Summer Days 2014“Expanding Hope Together”

    The members of Saint Marie Province will gather at the Provincial House for three days of input and conversation as we continue to explore the dimensions of our provincial and congregational chapter statements.  Included in our time together will be the celebration of our congregational feast day in honor of Saint Anne, and a day with a panel of young adult Catholics whom we first encountered via their recent publication:

    Summertime Morning of Prayer – Yearning to Just Be

    Saturday, June 28, 2014, 9:30 am – 1:00 pm, St. Anne’s Convent, 720 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough, MA   This half day retreat with the theme, Yearning to Just Be, is a way to welcome in the summer with God and other women, by slowing down and tending to your heart’s deepest desires. There will be a reflection, faith sharing, fellowship, contemplative prayer with music, and time for personal prayer. You are invited to “Come away by yourselves…and rest a while.” (Mark 6:31) Come, be nourished and renewed.

    The presenters will be Sr. Yvette Bellerose, SSA and Lori Pandiscio. “Coffee and” will be offered. Registration fee is $5.

    This retreat weekend is for women of faith thirsting for “more.” There will be reflections, faith sharing, and an opportunity to meet with a spiritual companion. You are invited to “Come to the Well,” a place where Jesus said: “The water I give will be an artesian spring within you, gushing fountains of endless life.”
